TransSLO is the project of the European sixth framework research programme. The donation on this subject permits participation of Slovenia in the research domain of transport in the so called European Research Arena (ERA).

Project began in December 2006 and was finished in May 2008.

Four main actions of the project were: Organising a contest of the best PhD studies in the field of transport, presented during the Slovenian ISEP 2007 Conference, Setting up a database of researchers, companies, research institutes, organisations and universities involved in transport research, Organising a TransSLO workshop – Slovenian&European Transport Research Priorities, Presenting the final results of the project during the EU-Transport Research Arena (TRA) Conference in Ljubljana in April 2008.
General objective of the project is the integration and strengthening of the research community, policy makers and industry at national level.

Specific objectives were: To support knowledge transfer and experience exchanges within the EU and specifically to promote transport research and encourage post graduate research at Universities, To generate information for decision makers on transport research priorities, To ensure dissemniation of Slovenian transport research capability, to ensure dissemniation of the results of the project.
